About Us

Historically Scenic South Street Seaport, NYC

Dating back to the early 1900s, Pier 17 and its bustling port has been a nexus of New York City business and culture. Today, the South Street Seaport is a 300,000 sq. ft. waterfront retail space full of seasonal markets, live concert events, cobblestone streets, a museum, sailboats, and unique storefronts. More popular than even the Louvre in Paris, it was recently named the 26th most visited attraction in the world by Travel + Leisure magazine.

Information on Renovations

In light of extensive damage to the area caused by Hurricane Sandy, South Street Seaport is about to begin a major $200 million renovation. Improvements will be made to shopping, dining, and live entertainment venues, with the addition of a new local food market and open-air rooftop pavilion with incredible views of the skyline and historic Brooklyn Bridge. The project is scheduled to be complete in 2015.
